Rachael DEAKIN (1846-1898) & John JOHNSON (c1849)
Rachael DEAKIN was the daughter of Robert DEAKIN and Rachel. Sarah was born in 1846, Ardwick, Lancashire[1].
Rachael married John JOHNSON (b. Stockport, c1849, a Collier Machine Weighman[2]) in Stockport, Cheshire in 1875[3]. John and Rachael had the following children:
- Florence E. JOHNSON, b. c1876 (see below).
- Thomas William JOHNSON, b. 1876, Pemberton.
- John James JOHNSON, b. 1879, Wigan, Lancashire.
- George Edward JOHNSON, b. 1881, Pemberton.
- Robert Deakin JOHNSON, b.1883, Pemberton, d. 1968, Wigan, Lancashire.
- Joseph Albert JOHNSON, b. 1886, Pemberton,
- Samuel JOHNSON, b. c1889
Rachael and John adopted:
- Florence Emily TYRER, b. c1878, Stockport, Cheshire (possibly Florence listed above).
In 1881 Rachael and John were living at 22 Alexandra Terrace, Pemberton, Lancs.
Rachael died, aged 51 years in Pemberton in 1898.
At the time of the 1901 Census, John was living at 42 Mitchell Street, Pemberton with his daughter Florence and 5 sons. His sister-in-law, Martha BANKS was also living with them.
